First. Overview

This notice applies to users of Baly Services anywhere in the world, including users of other Baly applications, websites, features and services.
This notice explains how Baly and its affiliates collect and use personal data. This notice applies to all users of the applications, websites, and other features and services of Baly anywhere in the world, including the applicable or Privacy Policy at Baly
- Passengers: Persons who request or receive a means of transportation, including those for whom another person has requested a means of transportation to them.
- Driver partners: Persons who provide transportation services to passengers independently or through partner carriers
- Delivery Recipients: People who order or receive meals or other products and services, including through Bally Food.
This notice also controls the collection of other personal data by Baly in connection with the services it provides. For example, we may collect contact information for people who use accounts held by customers in the Baly for Business Service, or who are owners or employees of restaurants or other stores; or the personal data of those who initiate and do not complete applications to become driver or delivery partners; or other personal data relating to map technology and features provided by Baly.
All persons to whom this notice is addressed are referred to as “Users”.
Our practices are governed by the laws of the places where we provide our services. This means that we engage in the practices described in this notice in a particular country or region only if permitted by the laws in those places. Please contact us here or through the addresses listed below if you have questions about our practices in a particular country or region.
B. Data Controllers and Transfers
All from the company “Baly.” and “Baly company.” are the controller of personal data collected in connection with the use of the Baly Services in the Region.
“Baly company.” It is the controller of the personal data collected in connection with the use of the Baly Services elsewhere.
, and “Baly company.” located at address (IRAQ-BAGHDAD-KARRADA-42nd STREET), is the controller of personal data collected in connection with the use of the Baly Services in the region.
Baly manages, collects and analyzes personal data worldwide. We may also transfer this data to countries other than the country in which our users live or use the Baly Services. The purpose is to enforce our agreements with users, such as applicable Terms of Use, or based on users’ prior consent, decisions of convenience for relevant countries, or other transfer mechanisms that may be available under applicable law, such as the Standard Contractual Clauses .

Second. Data Collection and Use Policies
a. The data we collect
Baly collects personal data:
- that users provide to Baly, such as information entered during account creation.
- generated while using our Services, such as location data, app usage data, and device data
- From other sources, such as other users or account owners, business partners, resellers, insurance and financial solutions providers, and government agencies
Baly collects the following personal data or it is been collected on its behalf:
1. Data provided by users. It includes the following:
- User profile: We collect data when users create or update Baly accounts. This may include your user name, email, phone number, login name and password, address, profile picture, payment or banking information (including relevant payment verification information), driver’s license and other government-issued identification documents ( (which may refer to document numbers, date of birth, gender, and photo). This also includes transportation or insurance information for drivers and delivery partners, emergency contact information, user settings, and evidence of appropriate health or fitness for the provision of services using the Baly Applications.
This also includes gender and/or occupation (as applicable to certain services or programs in Baly, such as features that enable women to provide services to or receive services from other women).
We may use images provided by users to verify their identities through facial recognition technologies. For more information, please see the section entitled “How we use personal data”
- Criminal background check and identity verification (driver and delivery partners). This information may include the driver’s or criminal record (as permitted by law), driver’s license status, known aliases, previous addresses, and eligibility to work. This information may be collected by an authorized supplier on behalf of Baly. We also verify the identity of passengers, and delivery recipients who request delivery of alcoholic beverages.
- We may also infer demographic data from other data collected from users. For example, where necessary we may infer the user’s gender using the first name to enable features that allow women to provide services to or receive services from other women. In similar cases, we allow users to change their gender if necessary through in-app settings.
- User Content: We collect data that Users send when they contact the Baly customer support service (including at the Baly registration desks, or via video conferencing tools), provide ratings or positive comments to other users, restaurants, stores, or Contact Baly in any other way. This may include comments, photographs, or other recordings collected by Users, including audio or video recordings (such as recordings from dashboard cameras) that Users submit in the course of customer support. This also includes metadata related to the method used to communicate with Baly.
- Travel Information: We collect itinerary information, including the dates and times of upcoming flights, accommodation reservations, or car rentals, from users of the Baly Travel feature. We collect certain information, including: (i) when users manually enter their information in the itinerary within the Bally Travel feature; or (ii) from travel-related email confirmations, if Users have authorized access to their Gmail accounts. If permitted, Baly will access users’ Gmail accounts only to collect itinerary information to enable the Baly Travel feature, and Baly will comply with Google’s API services user data policy, including restrictions on data usage that They are collected from users’ Gmail accounts.
2. Data generated while using our services. It includes the following:
- Location Data (Driver and Delivery Partner): We collect exact or approximate location data of driver and delivery partners, including to enable rides and delivery services, to enable ride/delivery tracking and safety features, to prevent and detect fraud, and to meet legal requirements. This data is collected by Baly when Baly application is running in the mobile interface (when the application is open and visible on the screen), or in the background of the mobile device (when the application is open but not on screen).
- Location data (passengers and delivery recipients). We collect exact or approximate location data of passengers and delivery order recipients to enable and enhance the use of our apps, including improving pickups, facilitating delivery services, enabling safety features, and preventing and detecting fraud. Please see our rider location help page for detailed information on how we use this data.
We collect this data from users’ mobile devices if they allow us to do so. (See the Choice and Transparency section below for information on how riders and delivery takers can enable location data collection.) Baly collects this data from the time the trip or delivery service is requested to completion (and may indicate such collection via an icon or a notification on the user’s mobile device depending on that device’s operating system), and at any time the application is running in the mobile device interface (when the The application is open and shown on the screen.
Passengers and delivery order recipients may use the Baly Applications without allowing Baly to collect precise location data from mobile devices. However, this may affect features in Baly apps. For example, a user who did not allow Baly to collect location data would have to enter the pickup address manually. In addition, location data collected from a driver’s device during a trip will be associated with the rider’s account, even if location data is not allowed to be collected from their device, including for the purposes of generating receipts, customer support, fraud monitoring, insurance coverage, and litigation
- Transaction Information: We collect transaction information related to the use of our Services, including the type of services requested or provided, order details, payment transaction information (such as the name and location of the restaurant or store and transaction value), delivery service information, date and time of service provision, amount charged, and distance Broken down, the method of payment. Additionally, if someone uses your promotional code, we may associate your name with that person.
- Usage data: We collect data about how users interact with our services. This data includes access dates and times, application features or pages viewed, application crashes and other system activities, and browser type. We may also collect data about third-party websites or services used prior to engaging with our Services, which we use for marketing purposes. (Please see the How We Use Data section below for more information on how we market our Services to users).
In some cases, we collect this data through cookies, pixels, tags, and similar tracking technologies that create and maintain unique identifiers. For more information about these technologies, please see our Cookie Notice
- Device data: We may collect data about the devices used to make use of our Services, including device models, device IP address or other unique device identifiers, operating systems and versions, software, preferred languages, advertising identifiers, device traffic data, and mobile network data.
- Communication data: We allow users to communicate with other users and with the Balyy Company through the Baly websites and mobile applications. For example, we allow drivers, passengers, delivery partners, and delivery recipients to make calls, send texts, or send other files to each other (generally without disclosing their phone numbers). In order to provide this service, Baly receives certain data about calls or text messages, including the date, times and content of communications. Baly may also use this data in the context of its customer support services (including to resolve disputes between users), for safety and security purposes, to improve our services and features, and to perform analytics.
- Safety Recordings: In some jurisdictions, where permitted by law, users can audio and/or video recording of their trips through an in-app feature or using the dashboard camera. Recordings within the app are encrypted and stored on users’ devices, and are shared with Baly only if users submit them to customer support in connection with safety incidents. Please see here for more information.
Data from other sources. It includes the following:
- Users participating in the Referral Programs. For example, if a user invites another person, we receive the personal data of the invited person from that user.
- Baly business partners through whom users use or create their Baly account, such as payment service providers, social media services, applications or websites that use Baly APIs, or whose Baly APIs are used.
- Baly’s business partners in respect of debit or credit cards issued by a financial institution partnering with Baly to the extent disclosed in the card’s terms and conditions.
- Suppliers who help us verify users’ identity, criminal background information, and eligibility to work, or who screen users for sanctions, anti-money laundering or KYC requirements
- Providers of insurance, transportation, or financial services to drivers and/or delivery partners
- Participating carriers (for driver or delivery partners who use our Services through an account linked to a similar carrier)
- Publicly available resources
- Marketing service providers or data distributors whose data Baly uses for marketing or research purposes
- Law enforcement officials, public health officials, and other government authorities
Baly may combine data collected from these sources with other data in its possession.
B. How Baly use personal data
Billy uses personal data to provide transportation, delivery, and other services and products in a convenient and secure manner. We also use this data:
- To enhance the safety of users and the security of our services
- To provide customer support
- To conduct research and development
- To provide means of communication between users
- To send marketing and non-marketing communications to users
- Regarding legal procedures
Baly does not sell or share users’ personal data with third parties for marketing directly, except with the users’ consent.
We do not share customer or driver information, this data is only private for the purpose of communication between the customer and the driver.
We use the personal data we collect to:
1. Provide our services. Baly uses data to provide, personalize, maintain and improve our Services.
This includes data usage:
- To create/update accounts
- To enable transportation and delivery services (such as using location data to facilitate pick-up or delivery), features that include data sharing (such as fare sharing, sharing ETA, ratings, positive feedback) and accessibility features to facilitate their use of our Services
- To make payments
- To track and share trips or deliveries
- To create an itinerary within the Baly Travel feature and provide related services, such as airport trips, rental car reservations, or food delivery services.
- To customize user accounts. We may, for example, provide customized restaurant and meal suggestions to Baly Food users based on their previous requests. Please see the section entitled “Choice and Transparency” in this Notice to learn how to object to this use of personal data.
- To facilitate insurance coverage, transportation, billing or financing solutions
- To perform operations necessary to maintain our Services, including troubleshooting software and operational problems, performing data analysis, testing, and research, and monitoring and analyzing usage and effectiveness rates.
Baly carries out the above activities, including the collection and use of location data for the purposes of such activities, on the basis that they are necessary to fulfill our obligations to users under the Terms of Use or other agreements with users.
2. Safety and security. We use personal data to help maintain the integrity and security of our Services and users. It includes the following:
- Verify the identity of Users and their eligibility to provide transportation or delivery services, including through reviews of criminal background checks, where permitted by law, to help prevent dangerous driver and/or passenger partners from using our Services.
And In some regions, this includes real-time Baly Verification, which asks drivers and delivery partners to share a selfie before going online to help ensure that the driver or delivery partner using the app matches their Baly account . This also includes, where permitted by law, performing facial verification of images submitted by users, or collected from public databases, to prevent identity borrowing or to verify users’ identities.
- Use data from drivers or delivery partners’ devices to detect unsafe driving behaviors such as driving fast or using the brakes and accelerator hard to inform them of safe driving practices. We also use data from delivery partner devices to verify the type of transportation they use to provide delivery services.
- Use device data, location, user profile, usage, and other data to prevent, monitor, and combat fraudulent activities. This includes identifying fraudulent accounts or uses of our services, preventing unauthorized driver or delivery partners from using our services, verifying user identities in connection with certain payment methods, and preventing and combating unauthorized access to user accounts.
- Use user ratings, reported events, and other comments to encourage compliance with the Baly Community Guidelines, and as a justification for disabling the accounts of users who have low ratings or who otherwise violate these Guidelines in certain countries.
- Share information about serious safety incidents of driver or delivery partners or compliance with local regulations with third parties, including other companies that enable users to request or provide rides or delivery services, or intermediaries that collect and provide such information to multiple companies, to prevent drivers or Delivery partners who may pose a safety risk to the Application or its users from using the Baly Services or the services of other companies. We may also share information with third parties, including those affected by such incidents, to see if such incidents lead to account suspension.
- Use ratings, usage and other data to prevent matching passengers and drivers who are at greater risk of conflict (for example, because one user has previously given another a one-star rating).
Baly performs the above activities on the basis that they are necessary to fulfill our obligations to users under our Terms of Use or other agreements with users, and/or for the legitimate safety and security purposes of Baly or other parties, including users and the general public.
3. Customer support service. Baly uses the information we collect (which may include call recordings) to provide customer support, including troubleshooting user problems and monitoring and improving customer support team responses and operations.
Baly performs the above activities on the basis that they are necessary to fulfill our obligations to users under our Terms of Use or other agreements with users.
4. Conducting research and development operations. We may use personal data to conduct testing, research, analytics, product development, and machine learning to improve users’ experience. This helps us make our services more accessible and easier to use, enhance the safety and security of our services, and develop new services and features.
Baly performs the above activities on the basis that they are necessary to fulfill our obligations to users under these Terms of Use or other agreements with users to improve existing services and features, or for the purposes of Baly’s legitimate interests in developing new services and features
5. Providing means of communication between users. For example, driver partners may call or text a passenger to confirm a pick-up location, passengers may contact the driver to retrieve a lost item, or a restaurant or delivery partner may contact the order recipient with information about their order.
Baly performs the above activities on the basis that they are necessary to fulfill our obligations to users under our Terms of Use or other agreements with users.
6. Marketing. Baly may use personal data to market our Services to users. This includes marketing about the Baly Services, features, promotions, prize draw contests, existing studies, polls, news, updates and events on users’ social media. We may do this through various methods, including email, text messages, push notifications, in-app communications, advertisements, and advertisements on third-party applications.
We may also inform users of the products and services offered by our partners. For example, we may provide recommendations, promotions or advertisements to our Baly partners based on users’ past delivery services. Although we inform users about the products and services offered by our partners, we do not sell or share users’ personal data with these partners or others for marketing or direct advertising to them, except with the users’ consent.
We may use the data we collect, including advertising partner data, to personalize and improve the marketing communications (including advertising) that we send on or off Baly apps and websites, including the use of Baly Services, and user preferences and settings based on the User’s location. For example, we share user data (such as hashed email address, usage information, and device or user identifiers) with Facebook to personalize and improve ads for Baly Services.
For information on how to opt out of certain marketing communications (including advertisements) from Baly and its advertising partners, please see the section entitled “Marketing Choices”.
We may also inform Users of elections, polls, referendums, and other political processes and notices relating to our Services. For example, Baly has sent some Users notice by email of polling measures or pending legislation related to the Baly Services in those Users’ areas.
Baly performs the above activities on the basis that it is necessary for the purposes of Baly’s legitimate interests in informing users of Baly services and features or those offered by Baly partners, or based on the user’s consent. You can see the sections “Choice and Transparency” and “Marketing Choices” for information about your choices regarding the use of your data for marketing purposes by Google.
7. Non-marketing communications. Baly may use Personal Data to generate and provide receipts to Users; to inform them of changes to our terms, services, or policies; or send other messages that are not intended to market Baly’s services, products or partners.
Baly performs the above activities on the basis that they are necessary to fulfill our obligations to users under the Terms of Use or other agreements with users, or for the purposes of the legitimate interests of Baly and its users in informing users of events that may have an impact on how Baly Services are used.
8. Legal procedures and requirements. We may use Personal Data to investigate or resolve claims or disputes related to the use of Baly Services, or to fulfill requirements under applicable laws, regulations, operating licenses or agreements, or pursuant to legal process or governmental requests, including law enforcement requests.
Baly performs the above activities on the basis that they are necessary for the purposes of Baly’s legitimate interests in investigating and responding to claims and disputes relating to the use of Baly Services and its features, and/or on the basis that they are necessary to comply with applicable legal requirements.
9. Automated decision making
We use personal data to automatically make decisions about the use of our services. It includes the following:
- Enable dynamic pricing, in which the price of a trip, or delivery order fee, in Baly Food is determined based on ever-changing factors such as estimated time and distance, expected routes, estimated traffic, and the number of passengers and driver partners who use it in specific times.
- Matching available driver and delivery partners with users requesting services. Users can be matched based on availability, proximity, and other factors such as the likelihood of a ride being accepted based on their past behavior or preferences. Please see here for more information about the matching process.
- Determining user ratings, and disabling user accounts with low ratings. This suspension only occurs after human review and/or the possibility of petitioning in EU countries or where required by law. For more information on rating selection and use, please see here on ratings for passengers, here on ratings for driver partners, and here on ratings for delivery partners. Please see the section below titled “Viewing the Assessment” for more information.
- Flag users who are found to be involved in fraudulent, unsafe activities or other activities that may harm Baly, its users and others. In some cases, when a user is found to be abusing the Baly Invitation Program or submitting fraudulent documents, this behavior may result in automatic account suspension, or account suspension after human review in EU countries or where required by law.
- Use the driver’s location information, and communications between passengers and driver partners, to determine the amount of cancellation fees that have been collected or caused by fraudulent activity. For example, if we determine using this information that the driver is delaying the pick-up of the rider to incentivize the rider to cancel the ride, the rider will not be charged a cancellation fee, and we will adjust the amount paid to the driver to deduct the fee. To object to this modification, please contact Baly customer support team.
- Use driver partner data (such as location, rating, and gender) and passenger data (such as rating, pickup location and destination) to help avoid matches between users that could further create conflict between them.

Baly performs the above activities on the basis that they are necessary to fulfill our obligations to users under the Terms of Use or other agreements with users, or on the basis that they are necessary to achieve the purposes of the legitimate interests of Baly, its users and others.
c. Cookies and Third Party Technologies
Baly and its partners use cookies and other identification technologies on apps, websites, email addresses, and online advertising for the purposes described in this Notice and the Baly Cookie Notice.
Cookies are small text files that are stored on browsers or devices by websites, apps, online media, and advertisements. The Company uses cookies and similar technologies for purposes such as:
- User authentication
- Remember users’ preferences and settings
- Determine how popular your content is
- Display advertising campaigns and measure their effectiveness
- Display advertising campaigns and measure their effectiveness
We may also allow others to provide analytics and audience sizing services, serve ads on our behalf across the Internet, and track and report on the performance of those ads. These entities may also use cookies, web beacons, software development kit (SDK) tools, and other technologies to identify devices used by visitors to our sites, as well as when visiting other sites and online services.

D. Information sharing and disclosure
Some of the Baly Services and its features require that personal data be shared with other users or at the user’s request. We may also share this data with our affiliates, subsidiaries and partners, for legal reasons or in connection with claims or disputes.
Baly may share personal data:
1. With other users
This includes sharing the following:
- Passengers’ first name, rating, driver-partner meeting and/or drop-off locations.
- The first name of the passengers with the passengers participating in a joint trip. Passengers on joint trips may view the disembarkation site of other passengers.
- The recipients’ first name, delivery address, and order information with delivery partners and restaurants or stores. We may also share ratings, comments or other information, as permitted by law, with the Participating Restaurant and delivery partner.
- For driver and delivery partners, we may share data with passenger(s), delivery order recipient(s), restaurants or stores, including their username and photo; vehicle manufacturer, model, color and license plate, picture, and location (before and during the trip); average rating added by users, total number of trips, duration of use of Baly app since registering as a driver or delivery partner, contact information (if permitted by applicable laws), driver or delivery partner profile, including comments Positive, and other feedback from previous users.
We also provide passengers and delivery recipients with receipts that include information such as details of the amounts charged, the first name of the driver or delivery partner, his photo, and a road map. We also include other information in these receipts if required by law
- For users who participate in the Baly Referral Program, we share certain personal data of invited users, such as the number of trips, with the user who invited them, to the extent appropriate to determine the reward for the invitation.
2. At the request of the user
This includes sharing data with:
- Other people at the request of the user. For example, we share a user’s estimated access time and location with a friend at that user’s request, or information about a user’s trip when they split the fare with their friend.
- Baly Business Partners. For example, if a user requests a service through a partnership or promotion offered by a third party, Google may share certain information with those third parties. This may include, for example, other services, platforms, applications, or websites that integrate with our application programming interfaces (APIs), and mobility or service vendors that provide an API or a service with which we integrate , restaurants, stores or other Baly business partners and their users in connection with promotions, contests, or specialized services.
- Emergency Services: We offer features that enable users to share their data with police, fire, and ambulance services in an emergency or after an accident. For more information, please see the sections below entitled “Choice and Transparency” and “Emergency Data Sharing”.
3. With the general public
Inquiries or comments made by Users through public forums (Baly Blogs and the Baly social media pages) may be made public, including any personal data contained in User inquiries or comments.
4. With a Baly account owner
If a user requests a ride or meal using an account owned by a third party, we may share the order or ride information, including location data, with that account owner. This happens, for example:
- When a driver or delivery partner uses an account owned by or associated with a participating restaurant or carrier
- When a passenger is on a ride booked by a friend or on a family profile
- When a delivery partner acts as a substitute)
5. With the subsidiaries of Baly Corporation and its subsidiaries
We share personal data with our affiliates and subsidiaries to help us provide our services or perform data collection and use on our behalf. For example, it may collect and store this data in Iraq on behalf of its international affiliates and subsidiaries.
6. With Baly Service Providers and Business Partners
Baly provides personal data to suppliers, consultants, marketing partners, research firms, and other service providers or business partners. This includes the following:
- Payment Facilitators and Executions
- Criminal background check and identity verification service providers
- Cloud Storage Providers
- Google, Inc., in connection with the use of Google Maps in the Baly Apps (see the Google Privacy Policy for information on data collection and use)
- Marketing partners and providers of marketing platforms, including social media advertising services, ad networks, third-party data providers, and other service providers to reach or better understand our users and measure the effectiveness of ads
- Research partners, including those who carry out surveys or research projects in partnership with or on behalf of Baly
- Suppliers that help Baly to enhance safety and security in its applications
- Consultants, lawyers, accountants, and other professional service providers
- Insurance and Financial Services Partners
- Airports
- Restaurants, grocery stores and other stores through which Recipients place their orders, as well as their partners and/or point of sale providers, including for fulfillment, delivery, communications and marketing purposes
- Third party transportation providers, including car fleets and car rental partners
7. For legal reasons or in the event of disputes
Baly may share users’ personal data if we believe it is required by law, rules, business license or agreement, applicable legal process or government requests, or when disclosure is necessary for safety or similar concerns.
This includes sharing personal data with law enforcement officials, public health officials, other government authorities or airport officials (if airport authorities require such data as a condition of operating on the airport grounds), or with other third parties as necessary to enforce the applicable Terms of Service; or user agreements, or other policies; To protect the rights, safety, or property of Bly or others, or in the event of a claim or dispute relating to the use of our Services. In the event of a dispute regarding the use of someone else’s credit card, we may be required by law to share your personal data, including trip or order information, with the owner of that credit card.

This also includes sharing personal data with others in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, consolidation, restructuring, financing, or partial or total acquisition of our business by another company.
8. With consent
Baly may share personal user data other than as described in this notice if the user informs us and the user agrees to share.
e. Keeping and deleting information
Baly retains Users’ data for as long as necessary for the above purposes.
Users may request deletion of their account at any time. Baly may retain User Data after deletion is requested due to legal or regulatory requirements or for reasons stated in this Policy.
Baly retains Users’ data for as long as necessary for the above purposes. This means that we retain different categories of data for different periods of time based on the type of data, the category of user the data relates to, and the purposes for which we collected the data.
Users may request deletion of their account at any time through the “Settings” > “Privacy” menus in Baly app, or through Baly website (passengers and delivery recipients here, driver partners and delivery partners here).
After requesting account deletion, Baly deletes the user’s account and data, unless it must be retained due to legal or regulatory requirements, for safety, security and fraud prevention purposes, or because of an issue with the user’s account such as an outstanding balance, an outstanding claim, or an unresolved dispute. To comply with legal and regulatory requirements regarding driver and delivery partners, Baly generally retains their accounts and data for a minimum of 7 years after deletion was requested. For passengers and recipients of delivery orders, their data is generally deleted within 90 days of the deletion request, except in cases where data retention is necessary for the reasons mentioned above.
Third. Choice and transparency
Baly allows users to use and/or control the data it collects, including by:
- Privacy settings
- Device Permissions
- Reviews pages in the app
- Marketing options
Baly allows users to request that data be used or copied, or to change, update or delete their accounts, or to restrict the analysis and use of users’ personal data.
1. Privacy Settings
The Settings > Privacy menus in Baly app allow riders and delivery recipients to set or update their preferences regarding location data collection and sharing, emergency data sharing, and notifications.

Passengers and delivery recipients can enable/disable Baly’s collection of location data from their mobile devices through their device settings, which can be navigated through the Settings > Privacy > Location menus.
- Live location sharing (passengers)
Riders can enable/disable Baly’s sharing of real-time location data from their mobile devices with driver partners through their device settings, which can be navigated through the Settings > Privacy > Location menus.
- Emergency data sharing
Riders may enable Baly to share real-time location data from their mobile devices with police, fire services and emergency ambulances. This data may include the approximate location at the time of emergency calls; This includes information on the vehicle manufacturer, model, colour, license plate, passenger name and phone number, pick-up and drop-off locations, and the name of the driver.
Riders may enable/disable this feature via the Settings > Privacy > Location, or Safety Center menus.
- Notifications: Account and trip updates
Baly provides users with notifications about trip status and updates related to their account. These notifications are an essential part of using Baly App and cannot be deactivated. However, users may choose how they receive these notifications through the Settings > Privacy menus.
- Notifications: discount offers and news
Users may allow Baly to send you push notifications about discount offers and news from Baly. Push notifications may be enabled or disabled through the Settings > Privacy menus in Baly app.
Communications from restaurants and stores
Users may opt in to receive messages from specific restaurants while placing an order in Baly Food app. Subscribers may stop receiving these communications through the “Settings” > “Account” > “Data Sharing” menus within Baly Food app.
2. Device Permissions
Most mobile platforms (iOS, Android, etc.) have set certain types of device data that apps can’t use without the device owner’s permission, and these platforms have different ways of how to get this permission. Please check the settings available on your device or check with your service provider.
3. In-app reviews pages
After each ride, riders and driver partners can rate one another on a scale of 1 to 5 stars. The average rating is associated with a user account and displayed to other users who provide or receive services. For example, the driver rating feature is available to passengers who request rides, and the passenger rating feature is available to the driver partner.
The Mutual Evaluation System holds everyone accountable for their behaviour. Taking responsibility helps create a respectful and safe environment for both drivers and passengers.
Riders can see the average rating in the main menu in Baly app.
Drivers can also see the average rating after clicking on the profile in Baly Partner app.
Recipients of delivery orders, restaurants and stores may also rate delivery partners. Click here for more information.
4. Marketing options
Users may opt out of certain marketing communications (including advertising) and use their data for marketing in the following ways:
- Ads Settings: These settings enable users to accept or decline the sharing of their data with our advertising partners for the purposes of serving personalized ads and/or measuring the effectiveness of these ads.
- Marketing Emails and Texts: To opt out of receiving marketing emails from Baly, or for instructions on how to set your preferences regarding receiving SMS or push notifications for marketing purposes from Baly, click here. Users may also opt-out of receiving emails and other communications from Baly by following the unsubscribe instructions in such communications. We may still send non-promotional messages to users who have opted out, such as trip receipts or information about their account.
- Cookies and Related Technologies: For information on how to opt out of personalized advertising using cookies and related technologies, please see our Cookie Notice.
- Baly Food Ads: Baly Food users can opt out of some personalized ads from the advertising partners that Baly works with here. Users who choose to opt out can see ads, but they will be less relevant to them.
5. Users’ personal data requests
Baly provides Users with a variety of ways to identify, control and provide inquiries and feedback regarding how Baly uses their personal data.
- View data: Users can view data, including profile data and trips or order history through the Baly Apps or through the Baly Website. Users can also use the See Your Data feature to view an online summary of information about their account, such as the number of trips or orders, rating, reward status, and number of days they joined Baly. They can also request to see their data here.
- Data acquisition: Users can request a copy of their personal data using the Download Your Data tool. For an overview of the data available through this tool, please click here. Users can also request a copy of their data here.
- Change or update data: Users can edit their name, phone number, email address, payment method and account picture through the Settings menu in Baly apps or the Driver Portal. Users can also request that their data be updated or corrected here.
- Deletion of data: Users may request deletion of their account at any time through the “Settings” > “Privacy” menus in Baly app, or through Baly website (passengers and delivery recipients here, driver and delivery partners here).
- Objections, limitations and complaints: Users may request to stop using all or some of their personal data, or to restrict our use of their data. This includes objecting to our use of personal data based on Baly’s legitimate interests. Baly may continue to analyze and use the data after such objection or request is made to the extent required or permitted by law.
